Hello Reddit,I already asked for what makes a sturdy wobble-free base for DJing over at the DJ reddit. Now I'm convinced that a 2x4 Kallax used in sideboard configuration would make a great base in theory. Problem is, it's too low, but putting a 1x4 on top of it would be too high for me. So I need to raise it. Since IKEA's choice of feet is insufficient (not high enough), I thought of getting a wooden block, like 7cm by 7cm, and cut four 23cm feet out of em.Ideally this would be completely sufficient, BUT I'm concerned about putting 450 records in this thing plus two turntables and a mixer on top of it. It should support the weight, but would the relatively high feet make this whole construction unstable? The whole thing should have minimal to no wobble.Problem is, I can't screw anything into the wall, it has to stand on its own. Should I build a frame under the KALLAX or would the already massive feet be sufficient (that is, joining the feet with longer blocks to form a "table")?Or should I rather consider building a simple table with a massive tabletop instead?Thank you! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2ydBKCL
