Hello, so college student here. I recently went to the emergency room because of a forced confrontation with campus police who after I told them upfront that I had been drinking, made me go through an ambulance to the ER. I was in the ER for an hour and didn't get any medication just saw the nurse once, the doctor once and discharge papers.
My parents recently received the bill from the hospital(About $300) and we're wondering, whether to try and use medical insurance for it. ( Blue Cross Blue Shield) I was wondering if it the insurance would receive the diagnosis from the hospital, or what the criteria if it's possible they would raised medical insurance on me due to being possible now "higher risk".
