So, the market had its lowest VIX close ever today, 9.19. The previous low was set in 1993. The market rallied for another 7 years. Also bear in mind that VIX only started in the early 90s and there were periods of extremely low volatility in the 60s and 70s.
I don't know where the market goes from here. Just thought it was notable that we've seen the lowest VIX value ever (8.84) and the lowest VIX closing value ever now. I personally think we will hit another intraday record. Sub 9, maybe even sub 8.5 before this think gets going again.
