My old game consoles have been collecting dust for years now, and I'd like to install them properly. I was inspired by other reddit users who more or less all build the same kind of setup like hereThe only thing I'd like to add is a back cover, to make it cleaner and to hide the cables. I was thinking of using thin MDF plates, with holes cut in the bottom to put the cables through. Here's a quick sketch of the ideaI'll be honest, changing lightbulbs and painting walls aside, this will pretty much be my first somewhat DIY project so I'd very much appreciate your help and suggestions on following issues:I don't want the cables to just dangle all over the place, so I'd like to attach some sort of cable guider on the mdf. What's an easy/cheap/efficient way to do so?I also want to attach lights as the above linked redditors did. How would I go about doing that? I have a 5M LED strip. Should I attach it to the inner top of the cubes, like so?. Or would the light be prettier if attached only on the back? Other suggestions?any overall input/suggestions/tips are also more than welcome! Thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to leave some feedback! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2kDQ7M3
