College senior, already own a car. Current commute is about 2.5-3 hours total, but only 4 days a week.

I chose to not get an apartment because I'm very interested in the idea of moving out of my town after graduation. Additionally, I might graduate "early" in March 2018 and did not want to sign a full year lease from September 2017 - September 2018.

I do not currently work, but I would if I moved.

I currently have a decent nest egg through years of internships/jobs non-stop. Wanted to give myself a rest semester of just focusing on school.

Savings : $20K (Saving for post college moving fees)

Investments : $12K (High risk crypto)

I've already portioned about about $800/Month for general spending. My savings will not be touched for this.

So I guess my question is if it's worth it. Driving that much is hell to me, but it's only 4 days a week and I think I can survive until March.

Moving towns post-college is pretty important to me.

Should I just rent out a room for the remaining 5 months?

Last tid-bit - our winter holidays are a month long, so no bullshit commute then.
