In our den there is a closet with two sliding doors. I'd call it a bedroom, but the builder called it a den, but anyway...I want to install a wine cellar in the closet. The cellar is a free standing unit, made to be installed into such an opening. The closet opening is 60 inches wide and the same height as the doors in the house. The wine cellar is 59x88, which means I need to raise the height of the closet opening.I'm guessing a closet would not be a load bearing wall? Is there a way I can check? They are still building houses like mine in the area, so I can see what the guts of the closet header look like if needed. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2yY5V27
