Hey all,
I lost my home in the Sonoma County fires this week. You never think something like this will happen to you, so admittedly I’ve never put much thought into how to best handle the insurance company going forward. I’ve already started by filing a claim.
Any tips on things to consider, watch for, or fight for? I want to make sure I get as much as I can to try and recover. I am worried I may be low balled.
Also, I’m not sure how FEMA supports something like this or next steps. Any idea on how FEMA may support here would be greatly appreciated.
