We just moved into a new place, and the concrete floor of the large shop I use as a workspace (almost 1500sq ft) was painted with a real cheap latex paint. It is a horrendous color, a shade of purple, and it is coming up and chipping off all over. It looks like they didn't prep the surface, as with a little patience I can scrape the paint off with a scraper. However, this takes forever and I've spent a few hours getting just a little 10 sqft area stripped. It is just one layer. Now I could use chemical strippers, but as it is 1500sqft, that'd be a whole lot of stripper to buy, plus the whole fume issue.Ideally I could also use my pressure washer, but as it is inside and doesn't have a large door (just a standard door is the only entrance), I worry about all that water inside.I was thinking of possible soaking areas in ammonia before scraping, any thoughts on that? Also, any other ideas on how I could get all this paint up?Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2xQIx6j
