We just moved into our house, and I'm looking for advice on what to do about these deck posts. I've spent several hours researching this, but I'm not confident I know what needs to be done. It seems to me that I could attach try to anchor the post to the concrete footers with some type of retrofit tie, but I don't know that is sufficient to stop the movement. Nor do I know if its present condition is dangerous.As you can see from the pictures, two of the posts are not centered on the concrete footer (and one of those is nearly half way off). And another post appears to go into the ground.Some of the posts also look like they aren't straight, and appear to have significant cracking.
