Picked up a metal frame for this at the flea market for $2 this weekend. The 90 foot roll (MERV 8) is about $95 (with shipping). That puts my price per filter under $2. I had been paying about $6 per filter, but recently found a place that get them to me in 6-packs for $30.
The math looks good, but I wanted to see if anyone had tried this and had any practical considerations I should be aware of.
