I was staffing an event with two other college students yesterday, and as it was winding down the company that was giving out free food (a granola bar company) gave us four or five big boxes (each with like, 6 boxes of bars in them) to split.

I ended up grabbing a lot, like 1.5x as many as the other students, and ended up talking to one of them about the first time I went to a food bank and how grateful I was to get this really high quality free food.

I left a little earlier, after packing up the other two students were waiting for a car to arrive to load the equipment into and take back to storage. Right before I left, I remembered that there was a big box that was still unclaimed, anxious and over whelmed I asked if it was sorted and taken care of. They both emphatically said yes.

As I left with my bag full of free food, emotions running high, I started feeling really greedy and like the other students probably hated me for taking more food. It was a super informal split, and there was that whole other box that just was ignored for several hours, but I still can't shake this feeling like I was greedy and horrible and all that.

IDK. Any advice? Internet hugs? ... :(
