context: small studio loft w/ 1 full bath and no anticipation of ever having a buyer that would plan to raise a child here (thus requiring a tub as consideration for their home purchase).i plan to rip out the existing single-piece fiberglass shower stall+tub and replace with a full size step-in tiled shower with sitting bench. however my issue is whether to leave the existing shower plumbing with tub spout. the reason being that 1) i find myself using the tub spout to fill buckets of water for watering flowers on the patio (or other tasks) - and 2) i live in a dog building where it would still be beneficial to keep the spout for washing off a dog/pet. i do not anticipate anyone would ever purchase this unit (if i were ever to sell) and do so with a child - so i do not have any restraints about maintaining a tub.would it be an acceptable trait to keep the tub spout without a tub - or would this be considered "weird"? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2xaXJ9E
