Not sure if this is the right place.

Wells Fargo has been holding our full monthly payments and charging us for insurance when we have already had insurance - both since 2014. For the payment holding, we would pay them on time monthly. However, there were separate times when we would get documents and statements saying that we can pay less. From $450/m down to $430. So we have been doing that, however, they were holding our payments as not fully paid, which confused us. They would hold these payments for months at a time, even though we had been paying what we were told. The amount due kept fluctuating, and they kept threatening to reposes the car, until one night they came and tried to reposes it but I was away. We had been following exactly what we were told, and they kept holding payments and threatening us to take our car -with an attempted repossession.

For the insurance thing, we went 1 month without insurance because we were in this weird loop with switching insurances. We didn't use the car for that month, but we got it finally insured no more than a month later. However, Wells Fargo had us as uninsured since the beginning. I think $50-100/m insurance fee since 2014, which went into several thousands of dollars extra for insurance we had but had fees for. We submitted proof, and they always said they would take care of it, but never did. Agents changed their stories, then we got to a manager who said she would take care of it. She stated that she saw we had insurance and would provide that extra fee that was added and move it to our loan amount. She would then fix our credit, because the fees and the holdings decimated my wife's credit, even though we paid on time and in full. When we got back to her, everything completely changed and she would not help us at all.

I am not sure what to do, but Wells Fargo is completely screwing us over. We want to just let them take the car and just get something cheap, with less hassle. Is there any way we can approach this?
