First off, I am new to investing so forgive if the questions seem naive. I am trying to understand the market volatility in the context of what happened today. The DOW fell 200 points because of some North Korean news (http://ift.tt/2vGnVxf)
I don't understand the correlation. I have some investments in the stock market and reading this news does not really influence me whatsoever to sell my stocks. That said, the falling DOW certainly means many have decided to sell based off of this piece of news (assuming Yahoo's finance analysis is correct). My question is, why and how are these two events related?
