I'm currently paying ~$74/mo for 150/150 internet, which is up from the original promo price Verizon had of $54/mo. I noticed Spectrum, which also offers service in my area, was offering 300/300 for slightly more, or 100/100 for way less.

So I called Frontier's retention line and told them I want to cancel to move to Spectrum unless they can beat their current pricing. The lady told me $74/mo is Frontier's promo price, and that it can't go lower. So I said ok, I'd like to cancel. They then said I have to pay a ~$30 cancellation fee for early termination.

Does anybody have recent experience with their plans and promo pricing? I don't really want to switch to Spectrum... I'd be happy to keep bluffing with cancelling, and a $30 cancellation fee is nothing compared to saving $20 a month, but I just want to know if they honestly can't go any lower..
