I just found this sub, and I've been reading it throughout my lunch.

So, I am 27 and I work a corporate job with decent pay, great benefits, and plenty of opportunity. It has never been fulfilling to me, it's never been something I've wanted to do, and it certainly doesn't motivate me.

A few weeks ago I decided that I would start saving up some money and just move across the country to Southern California. No real plan; just going to go for it. Figured it was my chance to really experience more out of life. I've been in the same place most of my life, with the same friends since freshman year of high school (some since kindergarten), and I've been doing the same ol' shit. So, why the fuck not?

Lately, I've been getting nervous about how the hell I'm going to survive out there. I've always lived pretty simply, but probably not simple enough to just move to California with no plans and still be comfortable. I've been getting more nervous about it, and thinking that it's an awful idea.

Reading through everything today has really helped reiterate that it is completely possible, and that I am going to be a whole lot happier with my life. I'm more confident about the move, and my excitement is back to where it was when I decided to make it.

So, I just wanted to say thank you, and that I'm really happy I found this sub!
