Rug is flat pile, kilim, wool, 8x10 feet.I sprayed vinegar/water solution on one side and then covered it in baking soda and rubbed it in. Waited a few hours then vacuumed. The smell did not seem to change much. Tomorrow I will do the other side.Is there a more effective way to clean this? (also smells of carpet cleaner fragrance, which I don't like.)I've read that it should be put outside in the sun, but I live in an apartment building so that's not possible. The rug is not valuable and it won't be a big loss if I mess it up by cleaning too aggressively, though I would like to save it if I can. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2hqIHqt
