I'm a canvasser. It gets hot, which means I like to be carrying as little as possible, and that I need water.
I just lost my Nalgene 32oz narrow mouth, which I had in one of their bottle sleeves and kept clipped to my belt loop with a carabiner. It was mostly great, but there were definitely things that weren't (though I'm not sure what improvements would look like). I'm wondering if my best bet is to buy another of each or shop around.
The lid would occasionally unscrew enough that water would leak on me while walking. The bottle could fly back and forth while I was walking, which I think helped it rip out a belt loop or two (and I realize that's not the intended use of belt loops, I'm just trying to mitigate it or find a better system). The lid was also not ideal for drinking while carrying a clipboard, if there was some kind of pop top lid that locked, it would probably be better for my purposes.
Any recommendations, or is the Nagene+Sleeve the best I'm gonna get?
