So my parent recently discovered that their entire retirement account was liquidated sometime last year and the proceeds sent to the state as unclaimed. apparently Pennsylvania passed a law which (retroactively) deems any account without activity as dormant*. If you have a retirement account and live in Pennsylvania I suggest contacting the holder or adding/withdrawing funds.
