My problem around here is that most vegetables seem to be sold in bulk. There's a few exceptions but by and large they sell them in big "family packs", except for the organic or exotic stuff. The exceptions seem to be corn (when in season) and bell peppers. Maybe some squash.
I find it hard to go through the big packs in time without having to eat the same thing all the time. Which I get tired of. But I don't generally like my vegetables unless they're crisp (and I don't like broccoli or cauliflower at all). Assume no stable yard or patio space to grow things in.
Good suggestions? I'll take a look at the farmer's market, but we tend to have issues around here where such things are too trendy.
