My mother works in the kitchen of an assisted living facility. She is not very healthy, mostly due to her own bad habits. She has a bad back and hip problems along with chronic asthma. Anyway, she has had multiple falling down incidents after working in the kitchen with the air conditioning broken, causing her to overheat and lose her breath. No incident reports. Now a resident with dementia has hit her, causing her back pain to worsen, and I find out the they didn't fill out a report or send her to the doctor. Is there some government department that I can talk to about this, can anyone give me some advice? We live in Virginia if that helps.
