This isn't a story about huge savings, and heck, someone may provide even better ideas. But I am pretty happy with my find.

For comparison, I had grown accustomed to waiting for $20 sales on van husen at the local stores in Alaska or on Amazon. Decent shirts. Fabric is a little thin, and the colors fade and look dingy after six month. But that became my standard. Everything else I tried was expensive or worse quality.

But then my employer buys us a shirt with our logo on it, using a Port Authority shirt. Surpising quality, and it's held up better than my van husens. After searching in vain on amazon (there are some but they don't ship to AK) and store websites, I figure out that these are restricted to design shops, logo item suppliers, etc. So I go into the local mom and pop graphic design shop. Probably expensive, right? $21 shipped to AK. My first shirt is 6 months old, but looks almost new. It's going to outlast all of my van husens by 2x or more. The three new port authority shirts I just bought are equally impressive. They are more substantial than a lot of shirts...thicker and a little starchy.

Had to wait two weeks, but even Amazon Prime takes that long up here. Shirt model I like is the port authority s608.

If you know of something better, tell me, but this is already an improvement for me...
