I am trying to schedule the Series 65 exam without company sponsorship. I know that I need to submit a U-10 form, but as far as I can tell from their system online, I can't register until I have a FINRA ID:
FINRA ID Number: U10 candidates remember to use an uppercase "U". Your FINRA ID# is your CRD#. If you are registered with a member firm, you will be required to use your CRD#. If you are a non-member, you will be required to use the FINRA ID# assigned to you at the time of registration. If you are not familiar with your CRD#, please contact your member firm or FINRA's Gateway Call Center.
To make matters worse, all the sources online say the U-10 can be submitted online, but only once you have a FINRA account. However, it won't let me make an account until I have a FINRA ID?
WTF is going on here and why is this so incredibly difficult? Can anybody help?
