We bought our entire IKEA kitchen which is sitting in boxes. We didn't plan on being the ones who put it all together, but it wasn't until after we bought it and called the company that IKEA uses to install your kitchen that they told us we'd have to wait until the end of November for them to come out and that the quote we had been given (which was already high) was now $300 more because we added one small cabinet. This was after 2 weeks of daily emails from them saying "schedule now!" Those two things along with some other red flags turned us off from hiring them.Since our kitchen is completely gutted, it's fallen to us to install everything ourselves. We can do it but our only concern is the countertops. We choose the dark walnut Karlby countertops, 2 pieces. One entire piece will fit over one section, so it's not a problem. But the other has to be cut into 4 pieces. One of those pieces will have the end exposed. What's the best way to do this and how do we finish that exposed edge? Has anyone else had to do this? Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2jdXGZ0
