Hey all!I built a deck and my fire pit table sits on it. There's about a foot clearance between the bottom of the fire pit bowl and the deck itself. Normally it runs fine without leaving marks but yesterday I burned a lot of wood I needed rid of so I guess it was hotter for longer. This has lead to some small marks emanating from the knots in the wood under the fire pit itself. My questions are:Will these marks effect the ability of the treated deck to withstand moisture / is it now more susceptible to rot?Can I just sand these away then reapply some sealant - if not, what can I do?Should I buy some sort of mat to sit under the table to more evenly distribute the heat in future? Thanks a lot. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2eOjPsn
