My boss requested to HR that I get a raise effective on July 15th, but the HR person was out of town at the time and the email got "buried" in her very full inbox. Time went by after we figured this out, and finally she emailed back saying the raise would have an effective date of Sept 1st, but I got my payslip for my next paycheck on the 25th and I still haven't got the raise. My boss is asking for an update today, but I'm wondering if I can request that I get paid the difference in addition to my regular pay as this was supposed to go through over 2 months ago? Any suggestions? Advice?
