Australian dude, live in a house in the USA. House Windows are different here in New England, go easy on my stupid question, ok?I have a house with older “double hung”? Windows.... These things are different to other windows I’ve had to maintain before. They have these odd handles, on both bottom corners of both lower “sashes”. And they have some similar ones on the top sashes too.Anyways, the handles when activated release tension on something that rides along with the windows up and down the “jamb”.When you squeeze the handle, it lets the window move. When you let go, it places tension on the window frame so you can’t move it.This bar is broken on two windows.
