Pictures of curtain rod parts I'm living in a dorm and obviously can't drill into the walls or anything. I bought large command hooks to put the curtain rod onto. I couldn't find a tension rod long enough for my window (156"), so that's why I'm using a traditional rod. The rod extends from 120" to 170". It's called a "telescoping" rod, so it has three metal tubes: two that have a thicker diameter and one that has a thinner diameter. I've figured out that you can put the thinner one in between the thicker ones, and then you have a sort of adjustable rod. But I don't know where to go from there! I'm obviously not using the brackets or screws, so I just need to know how to tighten the rod to whatever length I need it, and how to attach the finials. As you can see in the photo, the finials have a screw in them that makes them not fit onto the end of the rods. And when the 3 rod pieces are put together, they slide around inside each other and won't stay at one length. The instructions don't really help either. Any help would be greatly appreciated! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2y0qWF8
