Hey all, lots of lurking, first time posting. I'll cut to the chase.

My fiancé and I have started taking our wealth and goals very seriously. I make decent income selling cars, (anyone in here need a new Toyota? 😂)however with little additional income from her, it's tough for us to get ahead. She has Cystic Fibrosis and can't work. She receives about $700 per month from SSI, but every penny must be spent or else they give her less money the following month. Luckily, her health care is mostly paid for by the state, and we simply have to come up with co pays.

Does anyone on this forum have any experience with disabled people getting ahead financially? We've tried just mattressing the money in a lock box, but can't seem to really make it add up to much with such little income. I've worked twice as hard at my job to compensate, which is fine and I accepted as something I'd have to do when I learned of her disease and decided to continue the relationship. Any advise on alternative income streams, or savings plans, for the disabled?
