Here are some images http://ift.tt/2eE5SAv I'm located in the US, KansasBackgroundWe have a couple downspouts and a sump pump that feed into a catch basin that runs off into schedule 40 pipe downhill, under our driveway, to the pit in the images.During heavy rains the catch basin would overflow and just re-circulate back into the ground next to the foundation. The sump pump would then just keep re-pumping the same water and couldn't keep up. This caused about an inch of water in my basement. We had a camera run through and marked where the blockage was. The sump pump person recommended digging a hole there, cutting the pipe, and the terminating the drainage there. So farI've dug the hole, cut the pipe, and can feel the blockage of all the roots on the other side. I found the exit on the other side of a small rocky outcropping. Its the black ribbed landscape pipe.I'm trying to most of the labor myself and can handle most rented tools/machines.How to finish? Is there a way I can pull out and replace the blocked pipe?Or is it best to try and terminate in the pit somehow? If so, what is the best way to do this?I've ready about drywells (the NDS one is huge though) or just putting another catch basin (acting as a popup) but since the pipe is 1.5 feet deep something like this wouldn't be level with the ground. Could I just put a t-pipe there since the elevation is lower than the entry near my house and put the catch basin on top? Thanks for any advice! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2gz8i03
