I'm a 22 year old male living in the Philippines and this is my first job.
So I just got my first paycheck from my first job [PHP 12,000/ USD $235.87]. Taxes and other deductions from the salary would make my total monthly salary at around PHP 10,750/ $211.30 USD.
I want to know how I should use my money in terms of possibly having an investment as well as budgeting it for room for entertainment every month.
I'm currently working for a company that provides me with allowance for food, accommodation and transportation so there would be no need to budget my food, utilities, and rent expenses from my paycheck.
I have no long term life goals right now but I would like to be ready financially so that I would still be okay in the long term.
I have always been a gamer and my interest lies only in gaming from when I was still a kid up to now. I am pretty much afraid of what would happen to me since I can't control the future(lol) so I would like to know how to use my money to benefit me in the future.
I have always been hesitant on buying stocks as well as my family advised me against investing in them but I would like to be open-minded about stocks and try investing in them a little if it is suggested here.
My short term plan right now is to buy a new PC in 2-3 years that's good enough for 1080p 60fps gaming (I just wanna play The witcher 3 on all max settings at a smooth 60 fps) and light video editing.
I didn't grow up well-off and I am still not well-off(lol) but I plan to be at least be able to send at least 2 kids to college if I ever plan on getting married and have kids which I doubt would be a good idea(even MORE responsibility and I am even struggling to take care of myself! Having kids is a big no no but it doesn't hurt to be prepared!)
This not as experienced young dude is also welcoming 'lifeprotips' from successful and experienced people here and also those who have had bad experiences! Thank you for reading and please help if you can!
