I was just using wifi on a university campus and went to order something on Amazon. My prime account had lapsed recently and they offered me a 6 month free student trial, presuming I was a student at the school due to my ip address. Something to check out!
Edit: In keeping with "frugality" rather than just finding deals, I should note that I rarely buy things and use prime because I don't have a fixed address since I live in a van...
