Recently, I had noticed that whenever I go to the gym (which is a walk from my office) I end up buying a coffee and a cookie on the way back (about 5$). I also noticed that I have no ambition to do this when I leave for the gym, so I started leaving my wallet at the office as I go to the gym, so even when my mind is screaming at me to get a coffee and cookie, I simply cant. The profound disappointment only lasts about 2 minutes.
Do any of you use techniques to trick yourselves into spending less?
