I picked up this glass fixture at a local shop and am trying to turn it into a shift knob.http://ift.tt/2wCtxZP friend had a neat idea that if you put a graphic under the base, you can see it when looking into the orb. Here is a demo using a bottle cap:http://ift.tt/2ytk1pd have to look pretty much straight down on it to see the image:http://ift.tt/2wCtywR I could wrap the graphic to cover the lower most row of chamfers/faces, the viewing angle improves a lot and you can see it from a more horizantal POV:http://ift.tt/2ytk1Wf'd like to come up with some way to apply this graphic in a way that overs both the 'stem' and lower row of faces, then seal it somehow. My inital idea is decopage (sp?) and then plati-dip or something similar to seal it in and make it 'permanent'.Heat shrink printer paper? Is that a thing?I'd prefer non-permanent, durable solutions, as I intend to assemble the knob with set screw so if I ever decide to change the graphic, I can. It should be pretty easy to remove most materials as this is glass.Any ideas? Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2wCtP2R
