I booked tomorrow off work to do a parge/repair coat on my 100 year old foundation, but unfortunately the weather has taken a turn for the worse and the temp tomorrow will be between 2 and 7 degrees C (35 and 45 F).I know that's a little cold for pouring concrete because it slows down the cure time, but would I be okay with fast setting concrete? The product we're using sets in 15 minutes, and has 3000psi strength after 3 hours (in regular times), ultimately reaching 8000psi. The foundation is spalling pretty heavily, so the "parge" coat will be 3-4" deep. The data sheet for my concrete lists curing temps for grout, but not thicker applications with less water. What I purchased: http://ift.tt/2yuA5Hp foundation is against a heated basement and I'll set up a tent for curing overnight, but am wondering if it's too cold to actually apply the concrete without loosing strength. I did call the support line, but haven't heard back. Thanks a ton! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2ygRVwA
