Hi, I just bought a new used car today and it only came with one (very dirty) key. My last car I went over to an official Toyota dealership and got an offbrand vehicle key made (brand was STRATEC instead of Toyota) and it cost $5 instead of $28. This time, I went to a Hyundai dealership who told me the key (which is also non-electric/remote/regular key) would be $11 for the key and $65 for the cut... WTF? If I just bought the key from eBay, could I just take it to Walmart or Home Depot and get someone with their key cutter machine to cut it? The cut there is free, just need to pay for the keys. The Hyundai dealership mentioned a local locksmith place, but I called them up and they wanted $50 for the key including the cut... Still seems expensive.

P.S. I know it's not one of those expensive $400 remote electronic keys but $50+ for a standard key just seems very expensive, especially since previous vehicles did not cost nearly that much.
