Greetings from Florida.I'm currently predicted to experience hurricane force winds in my area. My wife and I were considering leaving, but with Irma losing steam we decided it's better to hunker down. We were going to leave the home as is since we rent and have insurance, but now that we're staying I am considering getting plywood for the windows. The hardware stores seem to be running out of plywood at an alarming pace.I know that MDF is not rated for anything involving water, but at this point it's all I'm seeing, so my question is how quickly will MDF degrade when exposed to significant amounts of water and wind?
