I recently got a new boss, who decided that she's going to quiz all her employees each payday. Employees are myself, a receptionist and the maintenance guy. Each payday, we have to list 3 things that either made the company money, saved money or comply with company mission. Totally valid question, I'll give her that. But she will refuse to sign paychecks unless we answer to her liking. This doesn't seem entirely legal. Save that kind of thing for staff meetings and performance reviews, right?

Should I go above her head and talk to the board chairman about this? It seriously makes me nervous that I'm one wrong answer from a late rent payment if I don't get that check, not to mention slightly insulted considering we sit 3 feet away from each other and she can see for herself that I go above and beyond for that place.
