I find the idea of "the check comes in the post every month" very appealing. In my view, this is what I'd expect of an investment.

I have to admit I didn't dive deep, but I have tried comparing view dividend based ETFs, O'Shares seems to have the highest yields. The expense rate is not ideal though and the volumes might be too low. (Is that truly an issue with an ETF?)

I thought about building the following portfolio to provide minimum volatility:

10% OUSA

7.5% OEUR

7.5% OASI

5% GLD

40% BND

30% BNDX

Any alternatives I should consider? Is my assumption regarding dividend ETFs flawed?
