Good Morning r/personalfinance!
I won't get too in the weeds with you all about my personal finance but I would like some clarity/thoughts if I am saving enough money.
I have been working for just over a year now with a salary of $55,000. I have saved $5,000 in my 401k and about $4,000 in my personal banking accounts. My rent is $975 a month with electricity and internet totaling to being ~$100 a month. I am only in ~$28,000 debt to student loans. On any given month I pocket around $200-$500 dollars a month in savings depending on expenses, I compete in cycling races which can get a bit expensive of a hobby. I am currently supporting my girlfriend as she gets through college for her last year. She helps pay some of the bills since she babysits a few times a week. Her income is mostly just extra money to have.
Am I in a good position money wise for my age/is there anything I should be doing more of?
