I got this Breville bread maker for $50 on craigslist 4 yearsish ago. Originally $250. It comes with a collapsible paddle at the bottom. Well, 4 years later using it about 2-3 times a month, that really hard to clean paddle finally stopped functioning properly. Went to go find a new replacement part and realized this Whole time they've sold a simple non-collapsing easy-to-clean one piece fixed paddle. Half the time the collapsible paddle didn't even collapse fully anyways. $3 vs $12 for the 'fancy' paddle that takes forever to clean.
Bonus: I may be using this oven even more frequently now that I don't have to hand-wash this part with a toothpick and toothbrush every single time. It really was the only downside to my fancy bread oven.
