I do a ton of walking on rough asphalt, and tend to drag my feet a bit when I walk as well, maybe the amount I walk makes it so no shoes/boots will work for me. Generally my shoes only last 1-2 years max before the soles are worn down to the point they're smooth, which makes me slip during winter, and eventually that there is a hole in the bottom so water gets in. I bought some 90 dollar colombia shoes thinking if I bought expensive shoes it would fix the problem but I've had the same issue, although they have some life left after about 18 months. I should have come here before making a purchase like that. I've done some research, apparently there are some sprays you can put on the bottom of your soles to make them wear away slower, but it's a temporary fix at best. Looking for some suggestions on types of material or specific brands that will hold up for 5, 10 years or longer if they exist. Thanks for the help!
