I've read through the numerous beard trimmer threads, and it looks like everyone recommends Wahl, Oster and Andis trimmers for maintaining beards. For some reason though, I haven't really seen any discussion of stubble and nose hair: two critical functions a beard trimmer should be able to serve.
I did a bit of digging and found that the Wahl Peanut (seemingly the top recommendation around here) comes with 4 guards, none of which are short enough to result in a true stubble. Meanwhile, there are plenty of cheap junky battery powered trimmers (some specifically labeled as "stubble trimmers") that have loads of settings and can get down really tight. This isn't what I'm looking for - the quality and power are typically lacking, and I really don't want separate trimmers for beard length and stubble length if this can be avoided.
Additionally, it doesn't seem like anyone really addresses nose hair. Nose hair control is definitely an important part of facial hair maintenance. Again, I'd like to avoid getting a dedicated nose hair trimmer if at all possible.
So I guess my question is, can anyone recommend a BIFL (or at least high quality) beard trimmer that can handle longer beards, stubble, and nose hair?
