This is my house . The front door is a dark purple. I am sick of looking at it. I want to spruce up the front of our house with a nice pop of color. i know when i'm looking at houses online, i am always immediately attracted to a cute colored door. I am thinking a slate blue or a teal. my husband likes a pastel orange but i'm not crazy about orange. what other colors might look good with a beige house?i am extremely noob when it comes to DIY stuff so I want to be sure I am really thinking this through. every time i want to do something that i perceive as "simple" like painting, it turns out something like oh no you will have to replace the whole door and frame and strip the paint, sand it down, blah blah and it'll cost you $4000. is this an easy task for someone that knows how to do very little around the house?what materials will i need?? the door is dark and i want to make it lighter, so i will need primer i presume? what kind of paint and primer? what kind of brushes?i really really appreciate any help or tips i can get ! thank you so much via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2w39gv2
