I lowballed myself during an interview for a sales position because I was counting on commission to be weighted more heavily than it is.
It turns out the salary on Glassdoor for this position in the company is $15k more than what I asked for. I can't believe i made this mistake! I am now in the third round of call backs and will be meeting with (who would be my manager) them next week.
My husband suggested that, if I get an offer, I go to my current manager and let them know that I am willing to stay for more more $, and then go back to the new employer and re-negotiate on those terms.
Is this unprofessional, or "just business" as he says?
