Underwear & socks are expensive. Especially when your 6 year old grows out of them & wears holes into them regularly. My area Wal-Marts have clearance bins by the dressing rooms with damaged package items. Sometimes they are missing items & sometimes they are just open & taped back closed. They are typically at least 50% reduced & often more. They also have undershirts & pajamas.
Also they have a clearance section with deeply discounted toys. Good for sticking in the closet for birthday parties, Christmas, etc.
