Before tax my year income is about $35,000. My monthly expenses total about $927.
I currently have about $3,000 in my bank account. That's all the money I have. I want to open a Roth IRA, invest in stocks, and all the other usual retirement things but I just don't think I have enough money. I'm feeling like I'm just never going to be able to retire, I'm just going to spend my life working until I die. You need at least $1,000 to open an IRA with vanguard I believe. That's almost all the money I have, and who knows if I'll need it for an unexpected emergency like a car accident or health problem.
