I have a great kitchen - all the usual appliances (stove, oven, microwave) and nice cookware. We eat mostly vegetarian meals, for various reasons. There are only two of us (my husband and I) and when we cook, we usually make 4 servings and save two for the next night.
Anyway, I saw an ad today for the Instant Pot Ultra for $120 and immediately thought OMG I should get one!! I mean, I almost hit 'place my order'.
Then . . . I was thinking. I used to have a pressure cooker and it scared the sh*t out of me (due to slight trauma from a childhood experience of a pressure cooker exploding in the family camper hehe). So we used it like twice and then got rid of it.
We have a slow-cooker that works fine.
And as I said, we already have appliances and cookware, etc.
Can anyone with first-hand knowledge of the Instant Pot convince me that it will change my life? Or is it just another cool but kind of gimmicky "thing" that I don't really need?
**so as to not get in trouble, I am not affiliated with Instant Pot, etc.
