Every time there is any mention of Amazon in the grocery space, the traditional grocery retailers take a big hit. Kroger’s drop today is just the latest in a series of massive drops dating back about 1.5 years.
Kroger is now at a PE of 12.7, and looks to be massively undervalued compared to its peers. It is also now at less than half the market cap that it was in late 2015. My question to you is, do you think this is justified? With Amazon not actually having significantly affected Kroger’s bottom line up to this point, am I the only one that thinks this is a huge overreaction?
The future of Kroger still seems bright to me, but perhaps I’m missing something.
