I've owned Dyson AM06 and Vornado 660, both are very audible at their lowest settings (you can reduce the voltage of the Vornado to make it silent, but it's a clunky solution and low CFM). I'm looking for a fan that's absolutely silent yet has high CFM, so something with large blades like a box version of a ceiling fan running at low speed.
Does this exist? I'm subletting so can't install a ceiling fan. And alternative route could be using large box fans to exhaust air from a different room, but then I would need to keep windows open at night which is an issue with no window screens and heavy mosquito population.
